Why Work Doesn’t Work Anymore and What Leaders Must Do Now
Work as we once knew it no longer works and the pace of change is accelerating.
In this session, Dr. Scott Cawood, CEO of WorldatWork, will explore how the fundamental construct of work has shifted and why organizations are struggling to keep up.
Through a practical and thought-provoking lens, Dr. Scott will unpack how speed of business, decision-making, technology, and employee expectations is reshaping the employee/employer exchange. From pay and PTO to benefits and total rewards, long-standing approaches are being tested in real time, often faster than organizations are prepared to respond.
Beyond programs and policies, Dr. Scott, whose bio is attached, will challenge leaders to examine the credibility of leadership in today’s workplace. As trust becomes a defining currency of work, the impact and cost of poor leadership has never been higher. The “bad boss” is no longer a tolerable risk; it is a direct threat to engagement, retention, and performance.
